Mists of Pandaria Tips: Future PvP mmr changes and what they mean!

One of the best tips I can give you about PvP is you HAVE to stay up to date with the changes! How bad do you want that high-rating achieve?  Would you have had a BM Hunter prepared at Mists of Pandaria launch if you could hit 2200 with a 1-shot macro? Or are you "better" than that?  Either way, one tip is to keep up with your class changes, as well as other PvP changes, to stay ahead of the game. Not as many people read blue posts as you think...

In this next segment we'll go over the most important parts of the blue posts about the make-or-break mmr system:

Blue Posts:

  • We don’t think resetting MMR is the right way to address it (Problems)
  • We don’t think it makes a lot of sense to reset MMR at the end of a season or expansion
  • If we did reset MMR.....will likely settle back into the same places anyway....
  • Our formula doesn’t do a good enough job ....
  • Team Ratings to grow faster over time, as long as you keep playing....players who continue playing Will be capable of reaching higher Team Ratings.....
  • Gladiator who has purchased a full set of Conquest gear will now have a compelling motivation to Keep playing in patch 5.1, since they’ll be able to improve that set by spending Conquest points.
  • BM Hunters- stacking too many cooldowns to blow someone up is not interesting, skillful, or fair.
  • Rogue -  looking at improving Rogue mobility and control in conservative ways.
  • OP off Healers- have PvP Power benefit either your damage or healing depending on spec
  • PvP players increase the item level of their Honor or Conquest gear by spending Honor or Conquest

The Biggest Highlight is  "Team Ratings to grow faster over time, as long as you keep playing....players who continue playing Will be capable of reaching higher Team Ratings....."

What does this mean?

This could mean that if you are sitting on a team rated 1629,  and you play with your friend once a week just to cap points, you could potentially get MORE points per win.  If you entered the arena now the rating could fluxuate based wins and losses. But if it's the 3rd week after the change will you get more points per win just because you stuck with the team?   Would a 1600 experienced player get a 1750 team rating?

Hopefully it won't get out of control or everyone will be a "2200 Hero"
